Dear Mr. Khamaushi,

On may 27,2002 we were pleased to meet with Mr.Hossin Naraghyan, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Uzbekistan. Must be stated that It was really wholesome and fruitful meeting that urged us address to your organization.

We would like to inform you that the Republic of Uzbekistan is on the process of implementation of large-scale privatization program. The privatization of enterprises of strategic importance being executed by Case-by-case privatization Bureau (CCPB) with the assistance of the World Bank under Enterprise Institution Building Long (please find attached CCPB booklet).

Case-by-Case privatization is applied for the privatization of large strategic companies under individual governmental resolutions, including pre-sale preparation of companies by hiring independent international finance consultants with the relevant experience and sound reputation .

Thus, giant enterprises of the following strategic industries of Uzbekistan are currently dealt by CCPB in the course of EIBL project: telecommunication industry, enterprises of the chemical industry, cement industry, cable industry, aircraft industry, oil and gas industry and metallurgical industry (please find attached detail profiles of companies of the above mentioned industries).

We would highly appreciate if you could assist us in disseminating these profiles among Iranian entrepreneurs that could be considered us potential investors.

In case of interest by one or another company we are available to answer any questions they are may have on being privatized companies.
